Join us for Quantum Days 2024 in Calgary, AB and online, on February 21-23, 2024!
Canada’s role in the worldwide ecosystem for quantum science and technology, underpinned by the announcement of the National Quantum Strategy in 2023, has never been stronger. In this fertile ecosystem, we see new ideas create foundational knowledge, new companies establish themselves to provide services, technologies, and opportunities for Canadians, and new paradigms set up to guide the responsible and effective growth of this emerging field.
Amid this growth, Quantum Days 2024 will bring together Canada’s quantum community and participants from around the world, to learn, to discuss, and to nurture new ideas. For the first time, Quantum Days will host an in-person meeting in beautiful Calgary, AB. With a single-track format, the meeting will ensure that all participants can interact with knowledge creators and users across academia, industry, government, and non-profit organizations. As opportunities for collaborative efforts open up across domains and across geographies, Quantum Days is poised to strengthen our growing quantum ecosystem.
In addition to Quantum Days’ in-person activities, which include keynote speakers, panel discussions, a poster session, an industry showcase, invited speaker talks, and dedicated networking opportunities, there will be opportunities for participants to engage online with the community from wherever they are. Woven throughout the meeting, themes of foundational science, commercialization, training, entrepreneurship, and policy will provide a comprehensive overview.
Quantum Days is honoured to host its first in-person meeting in the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, which include the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprised of the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations), and in the home to the Métis Nation of Alberta Region 3. Quantum Days committed to equity in all facets of our conference, celebrates the open and lively exchange of ideas, and value differences in our thoughts, experiences, and perspectives. These are central to the pursuit of our most pressing questions and require an environment that recognizes the inherent worth of every person and group, that fosters dignity, understanding, and mutual respect, and that embraces diversity. We will strive to deliver an event that helps address systemic inequities and we call on all delegates to abide by the Quantum Days Delegate Commitment to Respect & Inclusion.
Let us look forward to growing Canada’s quantum ecosystem together at Quantum Days 2024!
